In 5M maths students were given a starter to discuss. The question was 'What do you notice about these two calculations?' . What can you see and what can you tell us about them ,are they correct. There was a deliberate mistake for the students to spot.Jonathon explained that the 7 was in the wrong column he said "the 7 should be in the tens column not the hundreds column".
