Today some of year 11 started their public services course at Blackpool and the Fylde college. We have focused on fitness and sport by playing hockey and hockey fun skill games.

Today we have started our college taster sessions. 5 year 11 students have been stripping walls of wallpaper ready to re apply new wallpaper. They've worked hard this morning learning about new equipment, techaniques and safety aspects of the construction sector.

4J Gym session at The Oracle

Delivering letters
Today we have been considering our community, we have been delivering letters to neighbours around school. The letters have been letting them know that builders will be starting work shortly to build our new gym and there may be extra noise, mess or traffic,, well done 4J!

Blackpool train and rail history
Today 4J have been learning about railway history in Blackpool. We have learnt when stations were opened and closed as well as any major occurrences that have happened in the town, well done 4J!!

New play equipment

Boats and buoyancy
Today in their science lesson class 4J have been looking at buoyancy, the class were split into teams given the task of building a boat made from materials bought within a budget. The aim was to make a vessel that could carry passengers (or in this case marbles). The winning team had over 130…
