5I Assault course creation
Yesterday 5I were in the woods on an assault course , today they are creating their own from left over cardboard boxes. Great project team 5I. Also not ‘where’s Wally but where’s Lucas coat?..on the giant cardboard hanger!

No more fizzy pop!
5I have been experimenting on eggs. We placed eggs into different drinks and left them for a week. The results were clear….Ribena, Lucozade and all fizzy pops not only stained teeth but also rotted them away. Lucozade, Dr Pepper and Coke were the worst showing quite shocking results, they had…

Instructional sandwiches
In functional English we are preparing for adulthood by communicating with others. We split into two teams and took turns instructing our partner to make a sandwich we had previously designed. If the design matched the sandwich then we were allowed to eat it!

Tool test.
Today our ‘car bodywork’ group returned to Blackpool and the Fylde College to complete their course. We had a recap and test on all the different tools we have used over the course of our placement. It is safe to say both students and staff have learnt a lot!

Gift wrapping a car!
Today we practiced our Christmas wrapping skills by wrapping up various parts of a car. We were actually protecting areas we did not want to get spray on. Next step….full re-spray.

Using a screwdriver
Today at college, Jonathan learned how to use a screwdriver. He he is using it independently to take a rubber seal off a car.

Masking a car
Today at college, our students learnt how to tape up a car. They used masking tape to hide the rubber seals in preparation for spraying.
