In our resilience session this week we tried some activities we hadn’t done before.
Jorja was extremely helpful, helping Leah to make loom bands.
Anthony showed real resilience as his Hama bead pattern got knocked and he had to remake it from scratch.

Motor vehicles!
Today pupils from sixth form have been purpose denting their car parts so that they can expertly fix the again. They’ve had lots of fun denting and using filler to fix these dents!

Today a group of KS5 pupils took part in a VR activity that helped them to improve their paint spraying skills on car parts!

In our Enterprise lesson we learnt about advertising and how to package products in a way to make them more appealing. We then used our Christmas advertising display to display the products in a pleasing way to make people want to buy them.

In STEM this week we were set the problem of working out which bottles would be harder to knock over. Ones filled with air, water or rice.
The air ones were the easiest and the water and rice were both harder to knock over.

In our Photography lesson Mr. Shanagher taught us about “The Rule of Thirds”.
This is a photography rule that takes the idea of a grid in each photo and places the subject of the image in the left or right 3rd of the picture to make it more interesting.

5J Home Cooking
This week in 5J we have been practicing our home cooking skills, we practiced peeling, chopping and scooping potatoes, seasoning them and cooking them in the airfryer! They were delicious!

In STEM this week we built paper rockets using paper and paper straws, we designed and made our first rocket, fired it then see if we could improve on the design by adding different things such as paper fins or paper clips.
